Design accounts for up to 3% of a product's development budget, yet mistakes made at this stage can lead to losses of up to 30%.
- Presentation
In June, REDIN founder Sergey Redin spoke at the conference "Packaging as an Experience: Branding, Design, Special Effects, and Gift Solutions" as part of the RosUpack Connect business program.
The presentation was titled "Why Design Is the Cheapest Part of a Product (and the Most Underrated)."
Sergey explained why relatively small investments in branding, naming, and packaging design can have a significant impact on product perception, perceived value, and sales. He also discussed why cutting costs on design often results in much greater expenses once the product reaches the market.

InterviewFollowing the presentation, Sergey Redin gave an interview to RosUpack Connect titled "How Branding Increases Product Value."
The conversation explored how design shapes product perception, why a strong brand can increase perceived value without changing the product itself, and which branding decisions help businesses grow.
